Strohalm Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance

This historical event was organized by Strohalm Foundation jointly with European Institute for Interest Free Economy . It was for the first time in the Netherlands  that the concept of Islamic Banking and Finance was so widely presented to  Muslim and non-Muslim audience.
 
 
                       The conference title was “Towards an interest-free and sustainable economy” and included was a round table discussion about a new, global monetary system; and separate  symposium  on “Islamic Economy, Banking and Finance” ; There were also  three workshops about innovations in micro-credit and local money initiatives.
